How to buy the Ardor asset

October 17, 2016 | Category: News

Ardor is the following step in the evolution of Nxt: a new parent/childchain architecture that will allow multiple, customisable, user-created blockchains to run in parallel with each other. The Ardor asset tokens have now been distributed to all NXT holders in proportion to their NXT account balances, at the end of a 3 month account snapshot process. These tokens will be transferred to the main Ardor blockchain when Ardor goes live, in mid-2017. If you held NXT on a main blockchain account in the last 3 months you will aready have received  some Ardor, but if you wish to buy some more Ardor there are a range of options.

This is the Ardor asset:

Asset ID: 12422608354438203866

This is issued by account: NXT-FQ28-G9SQ-BG8M-6V6QH

Accept no substitutes for this asset! It is the only official Ardor asset and will, when the Ardor blockchain goes live in 2017, be swapped for ‘real’ Ardor on the new blockchain. It is intended that the Ardor asset be traded freely up until then, thus ensuring widespread distribution for the new Ardor platform.

Be careful when trading, there are always people who like to take advantage of the excitement around a new system launch to be dishonest, so check carefully before you buy, especially if the offer is being made via a marketplace or a personal one-to-one deal.

Where to buy ARDR

The Nxt Asset Exchange

This is the first place that Ardor will be available, and is accessible via the main Nxt client.
Download and install guides are here.

Once you have the NRS (Nxt Reference Software) client up and running, you will be immediately able to connect to other peers to create an account and make transactions while the blockchain downloads in the background.  Please pay careful attention to the account creation process, particularly in choosing (and securely storing) a STRONG passphrase.

Fron the NRS main screen, click on Asset Exchange in the left toolbar, then on Add Asset, enter the Ardor ID in the search box: 12422608354438203866, click Add Asset, then you will see:

Using this interface you can safely trade ARDR<>NXT on the Nxt blockchain itself. The interface is simple and intutive to use. Please note that as this is a blockchain based system, updates occur at one minute intervals with each new block.

Major cryptocurrency exchanges are opening Ardor markets now and over the next few days, right now the list of exchanges that offer Ardor trading are:

Hi guys, just a short comment to the nxt web site. I think it could be confusing for some people to find an article of 2016 on top of the news category. I mean for people who are not firm with reddit etc., hearing of nxt for the first time an want to look whats going on. For example if you search for nxt in google, after WWE NXT you will step in to the nxt web site and if you then click the news you get the idea, that there is not much going on.
I love your work! Keep on going. I’m pretty shure your concept of an public blockchain usable for everyone will find a broad interest.

I purchased Ardor on my altcoin exchange.
I then downloaded a Ardor wallet, and sent Ardor -> Ardor.
However, my exchange didn’t have the message field, only the address on where to send it.
Was only a small amount (10 Ardor). Can l get it back, or its gone forever?

      Hi Daniel,
      Unfortunately it’s gone forever.
You should send Ardor to your Nxt wallet.
The Ardor wallet is in Test phase still. It is not intented to recieve Ardor Token from exchanges. This has nothing to do with the message field anyway.

Hi, I purchased about 1000 ardor and sent to my nxt client address but still haven’t seen it. I eventually found a way to add the ardor asset through this site, I then saw the address of the ardor asset in the top right under the ID and sent another 355 ardor to that address. So far niether have shown up and I don’t have a transaction code to look up the transaction on. Which of the two addresses was right and is it possible to receive both of these transactions?

I purchased ARDRT via the Currency Exchange method on the NXT wallet/server.

Are there fake ARDR’s that I need to watch out for on the Nxt server? Or are they all the same?

The one I purchased have a currency id: 4471772775329439093

    Hello all,
I am new to NXT, a few months back I purchased NXT and sent it to the lite wallet myNXT.info. In doing so I was under the impression that I will be able to participate in the IGNIS snapshot. Since then the myNXT.info wallet has been closed. I was informed that I should send my nxt balance to the https://nxt.jelurida.com nxt public blockchain, which I completed today. I am thinking since nxt seems to be phasing out for the ARDR blockchain I should exchange my nxt for ARDR. With all of this in mind, should I exchange my nxt for ARDR? How do I complete this using the NXT platform? Will I still receive IGNIS during the snapshot if I exchange nxt for ardor? Sorry for all the questions, I am new to crypto in the last year and all of this is very confusing. Thank you for you help!!!
