Ardor Testnet

April 2, 2017 | Category: News

Ardor (Nxt 2.0) is becoming more and more a reality, the Ardor Testnet is launched last month and available for testing. The developers have already launched several official updates for the testnet software.

The Ardor software lets you try features like the Forging Chain, the Child Chains, the Coin Exchange, Bundling, Peer networking and API’s.

The Ardor software is for testnet only. It represents the first milestone in the building of the Ardor platform, which will be launched later this year, probably in Q3 2017. If you don’t want to install the testnet software, but still want to try out Ardor, you can go to the public online demo on https://demo.ardorplatform.org.

Keep in mind that this is an experimental version that runs on testnet, for security reasons, you shouldn’t use your Nxt passphrase! If you want to try the functionality of the Ardor wallet, you will need testnet tokens. You can ask for Ardor and IGNIS tokens here.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am new with crypto currency and I accidentally did not see that Ardor was still in testnet. So I downloaded Ardor, made a new account in Ardor with a passphrase etc. and I also bought a 1000 ARDR which I send to that NXT address. In the ARDOR wallet nothing happened and zero coins where added.

So I downloaded NXT from the website, created a new account and bought some NXT coins to test and they where nicely added to my wallet. When I logged in with my in Ardor created NXT address I could see that there where 1000 ARDR in “assets?”. I tried to send those assets to my NXT wallet created under NXT (not ARDOR) but when I try to send it gave an error “wrong password”

And when I log in at Ardor or NXT with my passphrase created in Ardor, I got a completely different NXT number than before?.
But I can however log in with my in Ardor created NXT addres on NXT server, can see that there are 1000 ARDR in assets (but cant send the anywhere because of “wrong password”)

Can somebody please help me how I can reach my ARDR coins?

    Kind regards,

    I did the same…

Solution: Download NXT client, enter passphrase you used to create ardor testnet acct. You must transfer a few NXT into that account from another NXT account, as an exchange probably won’t recognize the Ardr account as valid. Once NXT coin is transferred (needed for asset transfer fee) then transfer the ardor asset back to the valid NXT account. Then its safely stored in a valid account as an asset.
